Jangdo, an island of gentle hills not higher than 100m above sea level, has outstanding coastal sceneries such as sea cliffs and wave-cut terraces. It is accessed by a 335m pedestrian bridge. Inside the island are four creative studios for artists, a multipurpose exhibition hall, the archipelagic garden and observatory decks. The creative studios serve as workshops and lounges for artists. Four buildings including the sculpture, painting and literature buildings are equipped with workshops, multipurpose rooms, garden and outdoor workshops. Jangdo Exhibition Hall is where various educational, exhibition and experience events are held. Inside the exhibition hall are exhibition site, cafe, lecture rooms and storages, and outside are the outdoor performing site and the lawn plaza. The Archipelagic garden has trees and wild grasses naturally growing in the Southern sea region. Season's flowers and trees are planted in the garden to present beauty and healing moments to visitors. In addition to the above, the pedestrian bridge connecting Jangdo Island and Ulcheon Coastal Community Park kept the original form as much as possible by considering the history of the stone bridge and the mystery of revealing the bridge at low tide.
