Yeosu City announced that, following the expansion construction of the main City Hall annex, it has opened the Ungcheon Temporary Office and will sequentially relocate and rearrange eight departments within the City Hall starting from the 13th.
Prior to the main annex expansion construction, the city newly built a single-story temporary office with a total floor area of 965.57㎡ in the area of 1809-1, Ungcheon-dong, and plans to rearrange the existing office space more efficiently through this move.
The departments moving this time total eight: the Youth and Population Policy Division, Safety Management Division, New Industry and Energy Division, Women and Family Division, Construction Division, Public Development Division, Urban Regeneration Division, and Architecture Division.
The New Industry and Energy Division and the Women and Family Division will complete their relocation to the 4th floor of the Guk-dong Temporary Annex on the 13th and begin work on the 15th.
The Construction Division, Public Development Division, and Urban Regeneration Division will finish moving to the newly opened Ungcheon Temporary Office from the 20th to the 21st and commence duties on the 22nd.
The Youth and Population Policy Division will move to the 2nd floor of the Heo Jae-young Orthopedic Clinic building on the 20th, while the Safety Management Division will be rearranged to the 2nd floor of the main building on the same day. The Architecture Division is scheduled to move to the 2nd floor of the former Public Health Center on the 21st and start work on the 22nd.
Additionally, the Sijeon-dong On-site Civil Service Office will also be stationed at the Ungcheon Temporary Office, which is expected to enhance the convenience of administrative service usage for Ungcheon-dong residents.
A city official stated, "The construction of the temporary office is the first step for the expansion of the main City Hall annex, and this department relocation is a measure for space efficiency," adding, "We will proceed with the relocation work to minimize citizen inconvenience and ensure no work vacuum."
